¿Donde estamos? Where are we?

Empezamos en la plaza del Ayuntamiento. Esta a 200 metros al norte de Renfe. Y es así:

We’ll start out at the Town Hall, El Ayuntamiento. It is 200 meters from the main train station and the very city centre. It looks like this:

Camina hacia el norte unos 150 metros. Llegaras a donde empieza una calle llamada Avenida Cristina. Hace una especie de cruce con San Vicente mártir allí. Coje Avenida Maria Cristina.

Walk north about 150 meters, until you get to where a cross where Avenida Maria Cristina starts. There you also find Calle San Vicente Martir. Turn to the left and start walking on Avenida Maria Cristina.

Mira a tu alrededor. Si esto es lo que ves esto estas en el camino para Carosel.

Look around. If it looks like this, you are on the right way.

Esto es donde compro las flores para las mesas. Detrás ves una casa azul. Es un hotel precioso con tan solo 3 habitaciones. Cada una de ellas con su temática. This is where I buy the flowers for the tables. Just behind you can see a blue house. It is a wonderful little hotel with just 3 rooms. Every room has its own theme and it is quite remarkable. Sigue andando. Ahora te encuentras en la entrada principal del Mercado central. Como nos gusta este sitio. Es donde compramos toda la fruta, la verdura, los huevos, el pescado para el restaurante. Todavía… En futuros artículos en este blog veras que hemos conseguido un pequeño terreno donde vamos a cultivar frutas, flores y verduras. Y habrá una gallinera para los huevos!!

Pass by the little square. Now you are at the main entrance of Mercado Central, Valencia´s local food market. This is where we buy all the fruit, vegetables, eggs, fish, chicken, cheese etc for the restaurant. For now… You will see in later articles that we have got our hands on a piece of land where we will grow vegetables, flowers and fruit for the restaurant. And have hens for the eggs!!

Vamos a echar solo un vistazo dentro del fantástico mercado central.

We will have just a quick peek inside wonderful Mercado central.

Ahora cruza la calle. Solo unos pasitos mas adelande encuentras la entrada de la Lonja. Era la sede para toda mercancía de la seda en los años 1700. Esto, el mercado central y el catedral son “obligatorios” para todos los turistas que vienen a Valencia.

Now cross to the other side of the street. A little further down you find La Lonja. Europe’s silk trade centre in the 1700s century. This, Mercado Central and the Cathedral are the must-sees by all tourists in Valencia.

Sigue caminando en la misma dirección. Ves una tienda de maderas y cestas?

Keep moving on in the same direction. Can you see the woods and baskets shop?

Justo detrás esta tienda se abre la acera como una placita, o plaza. ¡¡Aquí estamos!! ¡Bienvenidos!

Just behind it the street we are walking on opens up in a little or not that little.. plaza. Here we are!! Welcome!
